This volunteer position requires a qualified and experienced veterinary nurse as there is usually no vet at PACS. The procedures are quite advanced, and there is a vital need for a logical approach to symptomatic treatment, while recognising more serious conditions that may require referral to a private veterinarian on the island. Typical cases would involve: vaccinations, skin treatments, wound suturing, wound cleanups etc.
If working full time free accommodation is provided with wifi & use of motorbikes during working hours. A minimum time commitment of 1 month is required but a 6 month plan is suggested.

Pet Animal Welfare Society, Bangkok
PAWS Bangkok provides spay/neuter and veterinary health services for stray or community animals, adoption programs as well as responsible pet ownership education in Bangkok.
Vet Nurse Online visited this animal welfare society when on tour in Thailand and was very impressed with the work done for animal welfare here. Run by a VN the clinic is always busy – during our time as a volunteer we were kept busy with applying flea and worm treatments for the rescue cats and caring for the tiny kittens.
