Vet Nurse Volunteering Series: UK – Hand Raising Puppies and Kittens

Abstract

The third bitesize case study in the Vet Nurse Online Volunteering Series, focusing on raising orphaned puppies and kittens by hand in the UK.  The report shows the work done by VN Ashley Crews who was awarded the Vet Nurse Online Volunteering for Animal Welfare Grant in 2014. The lecture then follows on with an in depth presentation focusing specifically on hand rearing and nutrition of puppies by in order to provide guidance to others in their volunteering in this way.

This CPD case study begins with a collaboration between Vet Nurse Online and VN Ashley Crews based on her report on her volunteering experiences and presented by Katherine Spear RVN for Vet Nurse Online, and then follows on with a lecture focusing specifically on hand rearing and nutrition of puppies by Helen Jenkins RVN in order to provide guidance to others in their volunteering in this way.
