Abstract
This vet nurse CPD online lecture examines IV catheter placement to gain vascular access in detail. It discusses selection and type of IV catheter and routine peripheral vein placement. It goes on to discuss central IV access using the seldinger techinque, and then also looks at intraosseus infusion. It also discusses maintenance and possible complications involved in vascular access.
