Early Neutering of Cats

Abstract
This vet nursing CPD lecture highlights the issue of homeless cats in the UK, and what can be done to improve the situation. It discusses the reasons for carrying out early neutering of cats and gives a considered approach to possible concerns. It then looks at the procedure itself, and also what vet nurses can do to actively promote early neutering in practice.
Learning outcomes
- Understanding of the issues involved in early neutering of cats, and the procedure itself.
- The ability to implement changes in practice to encourage early neutering with the aim of improving cat welfare in the UK.
